SUICIDE IS BRAINLESS
A Writer's Curse?
There is some overlap among the various pages of this website due to the fact that the disciplines overlap. Suicide is often seen in depression. Sigmund Freud, who is also on the False Prophets web page, committed suicide by a drug overdose in 1939 after years of writing books about his patients (The Rat Man, The Wolf Man, etc.). Harry Stack Sullivan wrote many books about psychotherapy before taking a drug overdose. Other writers included Ernest Hemmingway, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, etc. Vincent Van Gogh was a great artist.
In 1888 bodies of women, mutilated, were found in the Whitechapel section of London. After this notes were written to the police signed "Jack the Ripper". Then a body was found in the Thames of a doctor who committed suicide. After this the murders and the notes stopped. Of course, the suicide could have been unrelated to the crimes, but nobody knows for sure. No killer was ever caught.
Shown here is Jack Kevorkian, who is in prison in Michigan for assisted suicide. Kevorkian helped people out of their misery. In this author's opinion, Kevorkian should be pardoned by President Bush. Bush will probably not do this because he is beholden to the religious Right. Opposition to assisted suicide comes from religious views. It is not clear to this author (Olson) why such religious views should govern the state. Religion and politics should not mix.
Shown here is Marilyn Monroe, the clipart coming from a Monroe website. This was not her real name, but rather a stage name. She supposedly died of suicide, but in reality she was murdered, and the murder was made to look like a suicide, as was also done in the case of Dorothy Kilgallen. It seems that Monroe was about to blow the whistle on unsavory connections between the CIA and the Mob. Her death was arranged by Sam "Momo" Giancana, who hired two assassins to do the job. One was called "Needles", but no needle was used. Rather a drug-laced suppository was used because it would not leave any needle marks. Noguchi, who did the autopsy, found no drugs in her stomach, but plenty in her blood.
This clipart of Harry Stack Sullivan was taken from the Harry Stack Sullivan Bibliography. Sullivan wrote many books on psychoanalysis and then comitted suicide in 1949, 10 years after Freud comitted suicide. Both died of a drug overdose.
Shown here is Virginia Woolf, who was one of the leaders of the pack of great writers who committed suicide. Woolf wrote novels and plays. Ernest Hemingway was another.

This shows an artist's depiction of Mary Kelly with Jack the Ripper.
Shoiwn here is Montague Druitt, who was sexually insane, according to The Crime Library. His own family thought he was the killer. His body was found in the Thames December 31, 1888. After this the murders stopped, as did the notes to the police.
Shown here is Starry Night, a famous painting by Vincent van Gogh. Van Gogh cut off his ear and later committed suicide by shooting himself. Van Gogh had been a patient in a mental hospital.
Shown here is a clipart of Dorothy Kilgallen. It is taken from a website about her. She was a columnist and TV star. She had interviewed Jack Ruby and had found information about a conspiracy in the murder of JFK. Then she was found dead, supposedly a suicide. In reality she was murdered by people in the conspiracy. For more information on this, consult a website called "The Death of Dorothy Kilgallen".
Shown here is Sylvia Plath, the photo being taken from the Sylvia Plath website. She was a writer who became famous posthumously, much like van Gogh. Her most famous work was "The Bell Jar", which was autobiographical. She was separated from her husband.
